The Plan of the Center

Staff Counselors employed by the St. Matthews Pastoral Counseling Center are ordained ministers of the Christian faith who are trained and educated in the counseling arts or are Christians who are certified in their professional field.

Each Counselor is an active member of a local church, and holds appropriate membership rank with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC).  All counseling services are offered in faithfulness to the practices and the central convictions of the Christian faith, and within the ethical standard of the AAPC.

The Crestwood Baptist Church Pastoral Counseling Center operates by choice within the facilities of Crestwood Baptist Church.  The Center is a satellite of the St. Matthews Pastoral Counseling Center, Inc., an independent not-for-profit professional counseling service, and is not a service of Crestwood Baptist Church.
